The Linn family welcomed Matt Beckett to Linn’s Restaurant as its Executive Chef in 2010. "It's been exciting to share his talents with our dining guests," says Renee Linn. "His wonderful cooking style keeps Linn's Restaurant a favorite of locals and visitors alike."
Chef Beckett offers twenty years of culinary experience in the San Luis Obispo area and is an enthusiastic patron of Central Coast farmers’ markets where he seeks locally grown foods for his cooking. Perhaps it’s destiny that he finds himself at the helm of Linn’s kitchen where truly local flavor is its touchstone.
Matt is a family man who spends his free time surfing, hiking, and enjoying the natural beauty of the California central coast with his wife and children. He believes in supporting Cambria and surrounding communities by participating in local events. Chef Beckett recently competed in a fundraiser "A Grand Ole Soupabration" and was awarded Best Seasonal Soup for his “smooth with bites" pumpkin-squash with an apple froth and pepitas topping soup creation.
